More Info:-

The King Charles Spaniel is a small spaniel classed as a toy dog by The Kennel Club and the American Kennel Club. It has contributed to many popular cross-breeds, such as the Cavapoo and Cockapoo. It was slightly larger when it was first developed in England during the reign of King Charles II (1630–1685), from whom it gets its name. Generally true to type, King Charles Spaniels have been bred over the centuries for their beautiful appearance, with large dark eyes and long floppy ears set on a small round head.

In America however they were called "Cavalier King Charles Spaniels" so as not to be confused with other varieties of kings' spaniels also common at that time in Europe. These dogs are very affectionate and loving, and they make great companion animals. They are also relatively easy to train and are good with children. However, they do require some grooming because of their long coat.
